- Working with internal stakeholders and regional to develop communications strategy in support of its ambitious organisational vision.
- Lead on managing all aspects of Pru's external communications, brand profile and audience engagement strategy.
- Manage team to deliver communications plans across media/PR, digital communications, public affairs, marketing, sales, brand, events management and publications.
- Lead responsibility on communicating Pru's new brand positioning around disruptive innovation, community empowerment and intelligent development.
- Lead responsibility on Pru's public affairs and government relations plans and activities, and key role in delivery of work in this area including external relationship management.
- Provide support and counsel to CEO, senior team and others acting as spokespeople for the organisation for events, media, social media etc.
- Act as external spokesperson for Pru when required to deputise.
- Manage Pru's strategy for utilising and deploying the most effective platforms and channels to reach its range of audiences.
- Convene and manage key cross-organisational projects supporting Pru's communications strategy.
- Manage team budgets.
- Line manage the team including staff, contingent workers and trainees.
- Manage external suppliers such as agencies and freelancers.
- Minimum requirements: Minimum 8 years' experience in Communication and PR.
- Relish shaping, building and delivering a new strategy and team in an organisation with high ambition and aspiration to shape and set agendas.
- Drive, determination, creativity and ambition to make things happen.
- Able to range across developing / fixing some basic foundations of organizational communications infrastructure through to creative and agenda-setting initiatives to reflect the new brand Pru is building.
- Enthusiasm and proven ability to engage with and communicate issues relevant to Pru's organisational strategy across development, innovation and social change.
- Good 'nose' for news, social media trends and the political / communications zeitgeist.
- Proven ability to develop relationships and secure influence with decisionmakers and stakeholders in areas such as business and the worlds of innovation and new technology.
- Proven ability to have oversight of the commissioning, writing and editing of inspiring, creative and compelling content for a wide range of audiences and channels.
- Knowledge of the communications and PR.
- Strong English in both speaking and writing.
