• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers in China for raw materials, components, or finished goods.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with Chinese suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., product development, production, and quality control) to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and geopolitical factors affecting supply chains in China.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export requirements, and company policies.
• Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve issues related to delivery delays or quality discrepancies.
• Conduct regular supplier audits and visits to China to maintain strong partnerships and verify compliance with standards.
• Prepare reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
• Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related field.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or procurement, with a focus on Chinese markets.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken).
• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships in China.
• Strong understanding of international trade, logistics, and import/export regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel to China as needed (approximately 20-30% travel).
