- Summary.
- The IT Solution Assistant is primarily responsible for attending to all IT technical problems reported on the factory floor to sustain production continuity. The incumbent may also attend to the offices and other areas from time to time. Other responsibilities include installing and configuring PCs, maintaining and upgrading clients, applications & operating system, analyze, develop, document and communicate business requirements, and work with various IT teams to develop and deliver solutions. Participate in IT projects.
- Detailed Description.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Provides direct support on all IT technical problems on the factory floor production lines.
- Provides daily support to end users and resolves eHelpdesk tickets.
- Work with various IT teams and the business partners to deliver IT solutions.
- Respond to system problems by analyzing the issue and determining the next course of action.
- Completes computer setup, operating system, clients software update, security patching and follows up on audit issues.
- Assists IT Solutions/Infrastructure Assistant or above on all functions.
- Participate in various IT projects as required.

- Communication and documentation (including flow charting) skills.
- Knowledge of the business area to be supported and a good understanding of its associated business processes.
- Basic to good coding skills in specified programming languages.

- Understanding of interrelations between IT components (software, OS, databases, network, servers, etc.).
- Good knowledge of the Windows OS (server and client) and the desktop operating environment.
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure diagnostic tools, end-point security management tools, and processes.

- Minimum 5 years of retail operation experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team management role, leading teams of many people.

- Strong business acumen and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable plans.
