• Drive HR process standardization across Asia to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
• Identify opportunities for policy or process harmonization and drive them to a regional or global standard, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
• Promote adoption of the Vertiv Operating System (VOS) principles within HR operations.
• C. HR Operating Rhythm & Governance.
• Support the Asia HR Management Operating System (MOS), ensuring regular monitoring of KPIs, census data, and performance metrics.
• Partner with HR analytics and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely HR reporting for leadership reviews.
• Support periodic operating review (QBR, MOR, etc.) preparation and facilitate alignment across Asia HR teams.
• D. Regional HR Management & Governance.
• Regulatory Compliance & Employment Law - Monitor, interpret, and drive implementation of changes in employment legislation, statutory reporting, and government requirements across all countries, ensuring organizational compliance at all times.
• Corporate Governance & Legal Entity Management - Oversee corporate secretarial requirements, directorship matters, ISO certifications, and internal/external audit readiness for HR-related processes across the region in partnership with Legal and Finance.
• Immigration & Global Mobility - Provide oversight of work authorization processes, visa management, international assignments, and cross-border employee movements in partnership with the Global Mobility team.
• Employee Relations & Ethics - Provide guidance on labor relations, workforce restructuring, Code of Conduct compliance, ethics matters, and union engagement (where applicable), ensuring legal compliance and sensitivity.
• Employee Engagement & Workplace Experience - Drive regional employee engagement strategies, team-building initiatives, office space planning, and workplace experience programs that foster a positive and inclusive culture.
• HR Data Integrity & Reporting - Ensure accuracy and integrity of HR data through regular audits and governance, and oversee tax reporting, government grants, and other statutory data obligations across all jurisdictions.
• Localization & Communication - Oversee the localization of HR policies, employee handbooks, and communications into local languages, ensuring relevance and accessibility for all employees.
• Ensure full compliance with local labour laws across multiple jurisdictions; stay ahead of legislative changes and proactively adjust policies.
• SKILLS.
• 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience in HR program management, HR operations, or transformation roles within Asia.
• Proven experience in regional or matrixed organizations with complex, multi-country structures across Asia.
• Deep understanding of employment laws and regulatory frameworks across multiple Asian jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and priorities under tight timelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across multiple levels and cultures.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational discipline, deliver results with urgency and operate effectively across diverse Asian markets with sensitivity to local nuances.
• Experience with HRIS systems, payroll transitions, and HR shared services models preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional Asian languages a plus.
