• Join the Cisco Process & Automation team in developing leading automation technology, this role works cross-functionally with process engineering, manufacturing, equipment, and quality teams to drive productivity, yield, and quality improvements through advanced automation technologies.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, or process control in high-tech environments (optics, semiconductors, photonics, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills with hands-on experience troubleshooting automation systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with optical module assembly, packaging, and testing processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with high-volume contract manufacturing environments.
• Experience in optics or photonics manufacturing includes active alignment methods.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, machine vision, motion control, and integration of automated equipment.

• BS Mechanical Engineering or similar, Graduate work in Engineering or Business desirable.

• Design, develop and implement automated final test processing solutions for new semiconductor devices and assemblies.
• Work with product line electrical test engineers and test equipment manufacturers to develop equipment and hardware solutions to test new products.
• Define process technology roadmaps to guide equipment selections for future product introductions.
• Qualify new test processes at test subcontractors located across the globe.
• Coordinate process development efforts with team of test process engineers based in the US, Europe and Asia.
• Implement process improvements to existing test automation solutions as needed.
• Support ADI product development locations in the US and Canada.
• Travel in support of process development in support as required (domestic and international).
• Development of new automation solutions for semiconductor test including test handlers, contactors, docking and automated inspection; with an emphasis on working with vendors to identify and implement standardized equipment solutions.
• Self-directed management of project work.
• Investigation of quality/yield issues related to device handling, contacting or end of line device inspection processes.
• Interfacing with global operations and engineering teams to address test capacity and cost reduction needs.
