We are now looking for a new colleague - with some work experience â to extend our global Field Performance test team with representation also in Thailand. The FPT team support our projects and customers in performance testing on our sites around the world. The team is responsible for tuning and verification of performance guarantee (acceptance tests) according to ISO/ASME which includes to plan, lead, carry out, evaluate, and report performance tests on Siemens-Energy gas- and steam turbines and plants.

How Youâll Make an Impact
- You will get basic training in theoretical and practical knowledge of our gas turbines and tools together with assignments on our customer sites.
- You will have a supervisor who supports you the first site assignments.
- The work task is a mix of both theoretical and practical tasks in office and at our customer sites. The expectation of travelling days is approximately 100 per year and a typical assignment on customer site is 2-3 weeks.
- You perform, assess, and consolidate reports on performance tests for gas turbines and power plants. The goal is to validate engine performance against contract guarantees, specifically focusing on power output and efficiency following ISO and ASME standards.
- You manage preparations for performance test by developing test procedures including thermodynamical calculations, measuring point lists based on customer requirements and contract obligations.
- You install precision measurement instruments, data acquisition device and collect data in accordance with valid test procedure.
- You will work in an environment with advanced technical products where your technical and social skills will be challenged.
What You Bring
- Mechanical or engineering education dedicated to mechanics or Minimum 2-3 Years of experience in the energy industry and capable of completing basic mechanical assembly tasks
- Demonstrating proficiency in both theoretical concepts and practical applications in instrumentation, measurement technique, and/or thermodynamic calculations is laudable.
- You are analytical, curious to learn and have experience to work independently.
- You thrive in diverse cultural settings, building connections and encouraging collaboration with coworkers from various backgrounds.
- Ability to work abroad for periods of time, sometimes at short notice.
- In order to succeed in the role, you are structured, driven, problem solver, persistent and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
