• Start: Immediately.
• The Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the College Facilities and the overall management of the Facilities and Estates team. The successful candidate will report to the Facilities and Estate Manager.
• The facilities and estate officer will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and planning essential central services, including but not limited to the Management of;.
• Facilities Maintenance (FM).
• Construction Communication.
• Ensuring that facilities are prepared and ready for external rentals and events.
• Oversee daily operations of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), emergency, plumbing, electrical, telecoms, and water treatment systems.
• Schedule and supervise routine maintenance and emergency repairs;.
• Ensure all work and jobs are completed to a high standard of workmanship and according to specification.
• Ensure timely, authorized, and controlled purchases of services, equipment, and materials, including full stock control.
• Ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Supervise and manage engineering staff, maintenance staff, supervisors and contractors.
• Delegate and control work and jobs effectively.
• Provide training and guidance to personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs.
• Plan and execute maintenance and infrastructure projects, facility upgrades and renovations.

• Manage equipment, buildings, and related services, and forecasting any possible problems or defects that may occur to ensure an uninterrupted business operation. This includes on-call availability anytime.
• Ensure that all assets are recorded and effectively managed to maximize the life span of each asset.
• Focus on using best business practices to improve efficiency and reducing operating costs.
• Liaise with construction and consulting contractors to support facility planning and control building defects and renovation works.
• Ensure that the College abides by all required safety standards at all times.
• Support the promotion and development of commercial hiring of College facilities.
• Be present, or delegate work for a facilities team member to be present and working, at an out of hours event (after schools or on weekends).
• Ensure that the Health and Safety of all staff and pupils under the care of the College is of top priority.
• Ensure that child protection is of utmost importance and report any external contractors to HR to abide by all child protection policies stated by the College.
• Support and follow all maintenance jobs.
• Any additional tasks directed or delegated by the Facilities and Estate manager.
• Execute all additional responsibilities and projects assigned by the Facilities and Estate Manager in accordance with organizational requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Familiarity with school infrastructure systems.
• Experience in facilities management is an advantage.
• Proficiency in oral and written English communication.
• Ability to communicate and manage project scope and expectations to stakeholders, project teams and senior management.
• Ability to effectively use AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel and Word), and the ability to adapt to new technologies that may improve operational efficiencies in Facilities Management.
