• Direct the delivery of professional advice and support to enable Syngenta functions to manage and promote all aspects of HSE within the assigned region
• Provide leadership to a widely dispersed team of multi-national HSE professionals (specialist and generalist) enabling them to deliver the requirements of the Syngenta HSE Management System
• Assess and communicate the regional needs to the Global HSE Leadership Team (HSELT)
• Assess and communicate the Group HSE strategy to the Regional Business Leadership Teams enabling them to direct HSE compliance within their functional and geographic areas of accountability
• To develop and mentor the regional HSE and country HSE managers
• Provide direction and support to enable country HSE managers deliver professional support to the business functions in which they are employed
• Ensure the auditing, assessment, and validation of the required HSE standards are delivered and maintained throughout the region

• To direct the delivery of advice and support on the operational aspects of the Syngenta HSE Management System and the Global HSE strategy within the countries
• To ensure Regional Leadership Teams have the necessary information and professional advice to enable them to direct HSE compliance within their functional and geographic areas of accountability
• To ensure all Business Leadership Teams within the region are provided advice and support, enabling them to identify the relevant internal management system requirements and deliver compliant solutions (e.g., audit, investigation, reporting, ECMS)
• To direct the introduction of HSE solutions packages into the regional business functions and direct the provision of advice and support to enable them to meet the Syngenta HSE Requirements, monitoring and reporting progress to the Global HSELT
• Deliver professional advice, support, and challenge to the Regional Leadership Teams to enable the identification of HSE risks and to confirm delivery of appropriate mitigation strategies
• To ensure the development of HSE resources and capabilities within the region
• To identify and communicate the developing trends and resource requirements to the Global HSELT for the assigned region
• Manage the development and delivery of Global HSE projects as assigned by the Global HSELT.
• To ensure the delivery of the audits and reviews in Syngenta sites and at 3rd parties according to the agreed Global and Regional audit plans
• Support the change in the APAC PSLT's focus on Sustainable Operations through a functioning APAC Sustainability Council by providing technical input in support of the implementation of projects in the various P&S functions (FFP, Logistics, Packaging, Procurement, etc.).

Location is flexible for Pune ( India) and Bangkok ( Thailand)
