Responsibilities

  1. Establish and enforce quality standards for fresh food products (Seafood).
  2. Develop, implement, and enforce quality control processes for all fresh food products. Stay informed about relevant regulations and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  3. Audit suppliers and coaching.
  4. Set and maintain high standards for freshness, taste, and overall product quality.
  5. Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals.
  6. Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  7. Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance overall customer satisfaction with product quality.
  8. Continuously assess and improve quality assurance processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to ensure a cohesive approach to quality assurance.

Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or master's degree in Fisheries, Food Science, Chemical Science, Biotechnology or related fields
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control in management level within food production/seafood factory/catering industry
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standard, quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., GHPs& HACCP, BRC, IFS, Six Sigma, Lean, ISO standards).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies in the context of fresh food production.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards applicable to the fresh food industry.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey quality standards, provide feedback, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to continuously assess and improve quality assurance processes.
