Main purpose of role

To provide Performance testing across the DST/SS&C UK estate (Funds and WMI) as and when required.

• Participate in project meetings to assess Performance testing requirements
• Perform Requirements 5C's review
• Gather Performance testing requirements and turn into tests.
• Perform POC
• Deliver a Performance test plan to stakeholders
• Manage and perform the phases of Performance testing i.e Planning, preparation, Scripting, execution and reporting
• Prepare test data, test environment and Performance centre setup
• Escalate issues to the Performance QA Senior manager
• Liaise effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
• Carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
• To exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the role is responsible for are organised and controlled.
• To uphold responsibilities for risk and business continuity practices as appropriate to the position the role holds within the organisation.
• To comply with the regulatory regimes in which IFDS operates, with particular consideration given to relevant Client Asset, Data Protection and Financial Crime Prevention regulations, as appropriate to the above role.

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in performance testing
• In depth knowledge of HP Performance centre/Load runner
• Strong and proven scripting abilities in Web, Citrix and Ajax
• Degree in Computer science or other relevant qualification
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to adapt to urgent business requirements and prioritize tasks
• Self-Motivated.
• Experience with ALM/QC
• Strong understanding of Software Testing best practices (ISEB/ISTQB certification)
• Experience with monitoring tools e.g HP Sitescope/Diagnostics
• Experience in Quality Assurance/Shift Left/Early testing.
• Experience in other performance test tools or test harnesses
• Exposure in any other development technologies such as VBA, Java, C#
• Experience within the financial industry
• Experience in IT development.
• Experience within the financial industry.
• Experience in Service virtualization/Stubs/Harnesses.
