Food Technologist (Contract 12 months)

About the role

Kellogg (Thailand) Ltd. is seeking a Food Technologist on a 12-month contract basis to join our operations team at our Pluak Daeng facility in Rayong. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, safety and innovation of our food products throughout the manufacturing process. As a Food Technologist, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our commitment to excellence and food safety standards, whilst contributing to the development and optimisation of our production processes. This is an on-site position based at our manufacturing facility in Rayong.

Key responsibilities :

• All activities must conform to Kellogg policy and all practices.

• Provide leadership and direction to drive on time and in budget project delivery.

• Essential design recipes to meet China regulation and consumer needs.

• Design, develop, and manage scale up of raw materials, process, recipes and specifications that translate to full scale production (mainly in Thailand and Korea factory) and provide competitive advantage to Mars Inc.

• Development of new raw material with procurement and suppliers.

• Produce development plan with Innovation and support cost reduction to improve completive of products.

• Co-ordinating with production and Quality to perform testing in processes and production lines.

• Manages and supervises product development testing.

• Manages test product sample for testing and evaluation.

• Establishing product specifications to meet customer satisfaction.

• Prepares documentation for FDA submission for new products and imported products.

• Establishing raw material specifications to meet Kellogg food safety policy.

• Maintains manufacturing food safety procedures for new product or revises the current ones to comply with the latest food safety regulation.

• Works with Production to improve products or eliminate any production or product problems.

• Formulates the BOM for cost estimated calculation.

• Performs internal research and evaluation of premium testing.

• Monitoring product shelf life test.

• Ensure that all formulas, parameters /SOP/Masters file are updated.

• Controlled documentation for SOPs, Formulas, etc. are signed, dated and authorized prior to use.

• Ensure all the processes are followed , compliance with standard requirement prior to produce any new product or innovation, this should include, Allergen, HACCP plan, stability test, product image, attributes, etc.

• Ensure all raw material specification, nutrition information have been Approved by area quality.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related discipline

• Proven experience working as a Food Technologist or in a similar quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP systems and food regulations

• Proficiency in conducting microbiological and chemical testing and analysis

• Experience with laboratory equipment and quality control instrumentation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

• Ability to interpret data, identify trends and recommend improvements

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

• Familiarity with food production processes, particularly in cereal, bakery or similar food manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of nutritional composition and shelf-life testing methodologies (preferred)

• Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 (preferred)

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) for technical documentation and international communication
