The K Agro-innovate Institute (KAI), established in 2021 under the Kasikornthai Foundation with unwavering support from KASIKORNBANK, serves as a knowledge integrator dedicated to finding sustainable solutions for the critical issue of watershed forest depletion in Nan province, Thailand. KAI aims to increase per-rai income, reduce cultivation areas, and boost farmers' revenues—all while fostering harmony between human communities and forests.

We are seeking passionate and dynamic professional to join our team in the role of Pharma-Agro Technology Specialist.  The role is to be based in Bangkok and required travel to our operation in Nan province.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, this role leads the development, scale-up, evaluation, and transfer of pharmaceutical and plant-based technologies from research to manufacturing. The role connects researchers, manufacturers, the Pharma-Agro Innovation Center (PIC), and regulatory partners to deliver scalable, quality-compliant, and market-ready solutions, while driving the Pharma-Agro Technology Roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead technology development and scale-up of pharmaceutical and plant-based products from laboratory to pilot and manufacturing scale.
• Evaluate and optimize extraction, formulation, dosage forms, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies for Pharma-Agro applications.
• Lead technology transfer between research institutions, laboratories, PIC, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, ensuring technical feasibility and manufacturing readiness.
• Assess technical, GMP, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout the product development and scale-up process.
• Identify technical risks, troubleshoot process issues, and recommend solutions to improve scalability, quality, and manufacturing performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical projects involving researchers, manufacturers, QA/QC, regulatory specialists, and other strategic partners.
• Develop and maintain technical plans, specifications, process documentation, and technology transfer documents to support product and process development.
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends and assess opportunities for technology adoption, collaboration, and innovation.
• Provide technical insights, recommendations, and project updates to the Vice President to support strategic and investment decisions.
• Contribute to the Pharma-Agro Technology Roadmap and other strategic initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:-

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical R&D, pharmaceutical manufacturing, formulation, process development, scale-up, technology transfer, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development, formulation, manufacturing processes, scale-up, technology transfer, and GMP.
• Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers, research institutions, laboratories, or technology partners.
• Knowledge of drug registration, regulatory affairs, quality systems, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements will be an advantage.
• Experience with plant-based products, herbal medicines, natural products, extraction technologies, or phytopharmaceutical development will be highly desirable.
• Strong technical and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate scientific research into practical and scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, agile, innovative, and comfortable working in an evolving and cross-functional environment.
• Good command of Thai and English, with strong communication and technical presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Nan Province and other relevant project sites.
