Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of our Data Platform initiatives. In this role, you will act as a crucial bridge between business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, Data Governance, and Analytics.

You will be responsible for planning, tracking dependencies, managing risks, and facilitating communication to ensure that data platform initiatives are delivered with high quality and operational readiness. By leveraging a solid conceptual understanding of modern data architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data lifecycles, you will effectively manage project timelines and mitigate risks. Ultimately, your goal is to ensure that the right work happens in the right order, with the right people perfectly aligned.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage data platform projects from initiation through production deployment, including scope, timeline, milestones, resources, and priorities.
• Coordinate delivery across Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Governance, Analytics, business teams, and external partners.
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, issues, and blockers across source systems, data pipelines, platform components, and downstream users.
• Track project progress and provide clear status updates, decisions, impacts, and escalation points to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are ready for production, including requirements, testing, data validation, security approval, monitoring, documentation, and operational handover.
• Facilitate meetings, requirement discussions, delivery planning, and issue-resolution sessions to keep teams aligned and actions on track.
• Support incident follow-up, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of delivery and operational processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in technology project management, technology delivery, business analysis, or a related role.
• At least 2 years of experience working directly with data platform, data engineering, data warehouse/lakehouse, business intelligence, analytics, or data integration projects.
• Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum practices and project management tools
• Understand end-to-end data flows, from source systems and data ingestion through transformation, storage, and downstream consumption.
• Understand common data platform concepts, including ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, data models, APIs, and reporting datasets.
• Understand project impacts related to source-data changes, schema changes, data quality issues, pipeline failures, and upstream or downstream dependencies.
• Understand the Data Platform Software Development Life Cycle, including requirement gathering, source-data assessment, data mapping, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production handover, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
• Understand key activities across SIT, UAT, production deployment, rollback, backfill, data migration, and post-production support.
• Working proficiency in English for meetings, documentation, and professional communication.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, or similar)
• Basic understanding of data quality, data governance, metadata, data lineage, information security, and access-control concepts.
• Basic SQL knowledge or the ability to review simple SQL queries and data-validation results.
• Previous background as a business analyst, data analyst, or engineer.
• PMP, Scrum, or equivalent certification.
