Functional Trainer (Airline Solutions)

Purpose of the Role

As a Functional Trainer within Training Consultancy & Delivery, Customer Learning Services – Airline Solutions, you will design and deliver engaging training for airline customers. This includes both virtual and in-person sessions. The role focuses on helping customers maximize the effective use of Amadeus Altéa products by creating learner-focused programs and ensuring consistent, high-quality experiences.

You will work independently and collaboratively, applying creativity and best practices to drive customer performance, retention, and satisfaction across the airline industry.

In this role, you'll:

• Develop and deliver classroom, virtual, and blended learning programs tailored to client needs.

• Analyze training needs through consultation with internal teams and customer stakeholders.

• Create and maintain high-quality training materials including e-learning modules, facilitator guides, and supporting resources.

• Transform instructor-led courses into engaging digital learning experiences using established tools and methodologies.

• Apply feedback and evaluation processes to ensure relevancy, continuous improvement, and measurable impact of training programs.

• Act as a knowledge resource for stakeholders across the product lifecycle, ensuring alignment between training and product updates.

• Stay up to date with product innovations and share insights across the training team.

• Travel internationally to deliver training onsite at customer locations across North America, South America, Africa, and APAC (Asia Pacific) regions

Relevant Experience :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the airline or travel industry, preferably with training delivery expertise.

• Familiarity with Amadeus Altéa or similar airline reservation and inventory systems is an advantage (not mandatory).

• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to confidently facilitate training in both virtual and in-person formats.

• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs.

• Skilled in digital learning development and learner-centered approaches

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently for international assignments.

• University degree in

Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent professional experience

• This role requires valid and unrestricted work rights in Thailand.
