Develops, qualifies and proves the process on real product, then hands a qualified process to the site to run. Detailed Description

• Develop and qualify new SMT processes: paste, placement, reflow, inspection and rework, with process window and Cpk.

• Own the technical resolution of advanced spacing, mixed VIPPO on both sides, and the associated rework capability.

• Execute manufacturability POCs on the SMT line against agreed success criteria.

• Evaluate new SMT equipment, materials and inspection technology with Roadmapping and Advanced Manufacturing.

• Support NPI builds through SMT: troubleshoot defects, drive yield recovery and record the evidence.

• Feed SMT capability data into the capability matrix and directly into the DFM rule set.

• Support the site in converting the qualified process into PFMEA, control plan and work instructions. Knowledge/Skills/Competencies SMT process development and qualification reports with Cpk
