Supervisor, Technical Support

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise the daily activities of support personnel, managing workload, priorities, and workflow in the ticketing system.
  • Maintain a high-performance, customer-focused team culture through effective leadership, motivation, and training.
  • Manage shift coverage and resource planning to ensure continuous support availability.
  • Serve as the final level of technical escalation for challenging and non-routine issues.
  • Ensure all incidents, service requests, and problems are tracked, documented, and resolved according to company standards and within SLA targets.
  • Oversee the management of IT infrastructure components as needed (e.g., patch management, user account provisioning, system backups).
  • Monitor support calls, tickets, and communication to ensure professional service quality and adherence to established procedures.
  • Develop and analyze performance reports, using data to justify staffing, tools, and procedural changes.
  • Ensure the team follows proper security and compliance protocols when handling user data and system access.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for support, maintenance, and purchasing of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Oversee the basic inventory and asset management of end-user devices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical support role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent professional experience/certifications).
  • In-depth knowledge of diagnosing and resolving issues across Key Technologies, e.g., Windows/Mac OS environments and enterprise applications].
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a technical team. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, technical staff, and non-technical users.
