About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Lead Database Specialist to design, implement, and manage enterprise database platforms supporting our next-generation Core Banking system. You'll play a key role in building highly available, secure, and scalable database solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams and global vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.

• Architect and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.

• Manage database performance, monitoring, capacity planning, backup, and recovery.
• Support database operations, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and deployments.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and offshore vendor teams to deliver enterprise database services.
• Improve database reliability, security, and automation through best practices and new technologies.
• Participate in on-call support for production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• 7–10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years as a Database Administrator.

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience designing enterprise HA/DR, backup & recovery, and database performance tuning.

• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting.

• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
