Job Descriptions:
- Own the overall commercial performance of NEXTOPIA, including traffic, tenant sales, profitability, revenue opportunities, and space productivity.
- Develop annual business plans, commercial calendars, growth initiatives, and performance targets for the zone.
- Identify and develop new revenue streams through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, paid experiences, pop-ups, and value-added commercial opportunities.
- Monitor business performance regularly and implement timely recovery actions where targets are at risk.
- Lead the planning and execution of commercial events, tenant-led promotions, seasonal campaigns, and sustainability-focused experiences that drive visitation, conversion, and sales.
- Direct the Nextopia Experiential & Community Development team in creating a year-round programming calendar that attracts target communities and encourages repeat visits.
- Collaborate with tenants and partners to co-create exclusive activations, product launches, workshops, and experiences aligned with NEXTOPIA's purpose and commercial objectives
- Ensure all programs are operationally feasible, financially justified, brand-aligned, safe, and delivered to a high execution standard.
- Partner closely with ONESIAM IMC and the Nextopia Brand & Communications team to develop integrated marketing communication plans across owned, earned, paid, partner, and on-ground channels.
- Translate NEXTOPIA's sustainability proposition into compelling, relevant, and engaging campaigns for local and international audiences.
- Lead the Nextopia Ambassador team to deliver high-quality zone tours, storytelling, visitor engagement, and community touchpoints that enhance the overall visitor experience.
- Build strategic communities, advocates, creators, industry partners, schools, organizations, and sustainability networks to strengthen awareness and participation.
- Build trusted, commercially constructive relationships with tenants, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders to align business priorities and jointly unlock growth opportunities.
- Lead regular tenant business reviews, activation planning sessions, and post-campaign performance reviews with clear action plans.
- Oversee zone space utilization, ensuring that permanent, temporary, event, and experiential spaces are optimized for commercial return, visitor flow, and brand experience.
- Manage the assigned budget, forecast expenditure, track return on investment, and ensure compliance with company governance, procurement, safety, and sustainability requirements.
- Develop team capability, set clear performance expectations, coach direct reports, and foster a high-performance and collaborative working culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, Sustainability Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 10â15 years of progressive experience in business management, retail operations, commercial marketing, mall management, experiential marketing, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience managing teams and leading cross-functional projects in a complex organization.
- Proven experience in managing commercial performance, including traffic, sales, profitability, budget, marketing ROI, and business planning.
- Experience in premium retail, mixed-use development, shopping centre management, lifestyle destination, hospitality, entertainment, or consumer experience businesses is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge
- Strong understanding of retail destination economics, including traffic drivers, tenant sales performance, space productivity, and commercial profitability.
- Knowledge of integrated marketing communication, including digital, social media, CRM, PR, content, partnerships, and on-ground activation.
- Solid understanding of experiential programming, event operations, community development, and customer journey design.
- Knowledge of sustainability trends, sustainable consumption, circular economy principles, and ESG-related consumer engagement.
- Understanding of tenant management, retail leasing dynamics, partnership models, and joint business planning.
- Knowledge of financial planning, budget management, ROI evaluation, and performance reporting.
