About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager (Engineering) to join our production team at our facility in Lat Lum Kaeo, Pathum Thani. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation and optimisation of our manufacturing processes. As Assistant Production Manager (Engineering), you will report to the Production Manager and serve as a key liaison between engineering and production operations. This role is essential to ensuring that our production schedules are met whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for coordinating engineering activities, troubleshooting production issues and implementing process improvements that directly contribute to the company's operational success.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the planning, scheduling and coordination of production activities to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets

• Monitor and optimise manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications

• Liaise between the production floor and engineering department to identify and resolve technical issues promptly

• Support the implementation of process improvements and engineering solutions to enhance productivity and reduce downtime

• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functioning and maintenance requirements are met

• Prepare and maintain production reports, performance metrics and documentation as required

• Train and supervise production staff on technical procedures, safety protocols and operational best practices

• Manage inventory of materials and components to support uninterrupted production schedules

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on the production floor

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in production management, manufacturing engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and process optimisation techniques

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and manufacturing specifications

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions

• Proficient in using manufacturing software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor production staff

• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma

• Fluency in English and Thai languages is highly desirable

• Willingness to work shifts if required by operational needs
