Your Role and Responsibilities

This role requires the ability to i) provide commercial and contract guidance to the businesses and other functions, ii) draft and negotiate agreements which accurately specify the business relationships between IBM and Clients, alliances, partners and other companies. It requires the ability to develop working relationships with key Clients, effectively represent IBM, represent Clients within IBM and conclude sound contract negotiations. The ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with all levels (professional to executive) within IBM, Clients, suppliers, partners and their external representatives is essential. On international contracts, the role will require interfacing with teams in other countries and ensuring the agreement accurately reflects IBM's capabilities in all countries within scope.
The position requires seniority and experience for the Accounts in scope for which leadership and traction are of the essence when interacting face-to-face with senior executives of the Clients' organisations (e.g., Head of Procurement) as well as many ESU leaders, Accounts GMs, and Brand Leaders of IBM. This position further requires interactions with the Legal Department of IBM which is also involved in certain contract negotiations, including when working on Client requirements where they pertain to Legal's powers reserved.
The resource must be located in Thailand, in order to shorten the commuting times between the IBM offices and the Client locations around or elsewhere in Thailand, enable ad hoc meetings with IBM Executives as well as engagement teams, and team up with the local C&N team to mutually grow skills and knowledge on a continuous basis. Apart from crisis situations which require homeworking (e.g., pandemics), the IBM site remains the privileged work location for this position in order to foster team interactions and experience sharing.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Negotiation skills - 3 years
• Communications skills, including at Executive level - 5 years
• Understanding of business requirements and alignment of applicable terms and conditions especially when working off a client provided document - 3 years
• Leadership, collaboration, and project management - 5 years
• Understanding of complexities related to local and crossborder contracting, processes, including sales and delivery - 4 years

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Capability to work in international and cross-brand environments - 3 years
• Risk assessment and mitigation, including on the financial side - 4 years
• Understanding of IBM's strategic imperatives - 3 years
• Experience of interactions with Legal/C&N environment - 2 years
