Senior Structural Checker

as detail below;

Employment:

1 year Contract

Location:

Laem Chabang Industrial Estate, Chonburi

Working Day:

Mon – Fri 07:30 – 17:00 and Sat 07:30 – 12:00 (5.5 days)

Responsibilities

Provide structural engineering support for Fabrication/Production, major accountabilities including:

Perform engineering

content check

on structural & Subsea Pipeline fabrication shop drawings

Coordinate with other disciplines (Piping, E&I) during preparation of fabrication shop drawings.

Prepare and maintain shop drawing cross reference report, i.e. Drawing register, Shop marking & Weld joint reference.

To review materials availability and material usage.

To liaise with Designer, Production and QC during project execution.

Prepare Redline Mark-up Drawings, Weld map, Weld history sheet, Cutting Plan and As-

Fabricated Drawings as required.

Take on additional accountabilities assigned by Top Management.

Detailed Engineering

Review Design Drawing - AFC

Review of Fabrication Built Sequence/Method

Assign Shop Drawings to draftsmen

Check Shop Drawings to be conformance with Design Drawing (AFC)

Cutting plan and Cutting list

Weld map and Welding history sheet

Review materials availability

Identify Change Work, if necessary

Generate Drafting Progress Report

Control Drafting Schedule

Construction Engineering

Revise shop drawings as per Site Instruction (SI) and Work Instruction (WI) requirement.

As-Built Drawing as per Actual Fabrication

As Built Tekla Model, if necessary

Qualifications

Minimum Higher Vocational Certificate (Civil & Structural and Industrial Engineer)

Minimum 7 years of direct experience in preparing and checking structural steel and subsea pipeline fabrication drawings, preferably in the oil and gas industry offshore business

AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS's) and Non-Destructive Test in (NDT) Requirement

Familiar with Offshore Standard i.e. ASTM, BS, JIS, DIN, ASME etc.
