Main objectives and Summary

• Manage incidents, work orders, changes and Jira requests on Windows and VMWare platforms for our sponsors.
• Accountable for configuration, installation, integration and operating support systems on Windows and VMWare platforms.
• Propose recommendations for increasing stability of managed systems
• Keep documentation and CMDB up to date
• Participate in Windows project as requested (OS migration, decommissioning, hardening etc.)
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
• Other tasks as assigned by management
• Update certificates that are close to expiration
• Provide on-call support 
• Work from 11 PM or 12AM onwards including public holidays - except during on-boarding (compensation day will be given)

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Language skills

• Good communication skills in English (both written and oral) to be able to work with international customers.

Experience and Skills

• At least 3 years' experience in Virtualization environments, VMware ESX, VMware Virtual Center, V-Motion, HA, DRS, VMware Converter, Backup
• At least 5 years' experience in Windows servers environments
• Have good knowledge in general networking.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills
• Able to deal and handle difficult situations and work under time constraints.
• Microsoft or VMware Certification will be an advantage (VACP, VCP, MCSA or MCSE).
• Knowledge of ITIL concept will be an advantage.
