Responsibilities:

Lead manufacturing strategy, footprint optimization and all new program launches for the JIT in Thailand.

Execute all Thailand programs as per Adient standards while following the standard AME deliverables, to ensure flawless launches.

Design and implement competitive, efficient and safe manufacturing processes able to deliver the highest standards to our customers.

Lead ME reviews of program deliverables to ensure consistent application and execution of standards.

Schedule reviews with the Country ME or Regional AME director for all key programs and prepare Manufacturing Process Confirmation (MPC) to leadership as required by the product launch system

Support commercial team during Phase 0/1. Review & approve capex investment for all new quotes. Prepare quote packages.

Update MU/CU of each footprint and Study suitable footprint and value steam flow for improve competitiveness.

Support business growth by providing solutions on footprint and Capex needs.

Support and work with CI team on manufacturing practices and improvements (AMS, BBP, MU/CU) to drive operational excellence and waste elimination.

Build and develop a strong Successor and IDP for subordinate and drive people engagement.

Improve machine, Jig and fixture to have zero defect outflow

Implement innovation and AI to improve production line

Improve line layout to eliminate waste

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial or Eng. preferred)

Minimum 10 years of industry experience (automotive experience preferred).

Assembly Process Development, Layout Development and Footprint, Planning and Greenfield/Brownfield Development experience

Equipment and Machine Technical Specifications and Standards

Product Design and Development Specifications

Knowledge of takt time, line balance method.

Knowledge of manufacturing process such as Tightening and relate processing technology.

Knowledge of Shop Floor Control Systems

Knowledge of value stream mapping and roll throughput yield.

Knowledge of quality system.

Knowledge of Robot / Machine cycle time calculations, Line Cycle time balancing and ergonomics of loading and unloading parts to a machine.

Plant Layout design

Program Management knowledge as related to successful management of capital budget and plant installations

Proficient in read, write and speak English.
