Job Summary
- Design and implement of database server.
- Design backup and recovery database process.
- Monitor database performance, identify problem and system performance tuning of database server.
- Develop SQL script, schema design, code review and SQL query tuning
- Control access permission, privilege and security.
- Be available for on-call, e-mail support as needed
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Understanding the requirement from each Customers and setting up the database environment as per the given design. Database Project Activities like – MySQL Databases and Microsoft SQL Server Databases Installation, Build, Instance Creation, Database Object Creations, Function and Procedure
- Manage MySQL databases and Microsoft SQL Server through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Independently Analyse/Troubleshoot issues which includes the Batch Job failures, DB connectivity/access errors and co-ordinate with other support teams for resolution..
- Identify areas of improvement and implement those ideas. Ensure that knowledge is shared with peers for all new implementations.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Qualification
- Graduate Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. New graduate are welcome

- Strong concepts on Database
- Linux Server and Windows Server knowledge
- An added advantage if candidate has basic knowledge of below concepts:
- MySQL database administration
- Shell Scripting
- Performance tuning & query optimization
- Linux Server knowledge
- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options
