We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our newly established Middle Office Accounting Operations department for the Asia region. This role is part of Allianz Partners' global finance transformation initiative, where you will manage a team of accounting experts responsible for leading the monthly closing process, ensuring quality assurance on financial figures, conducting balance sheet reviews, and acting as key users in strategic projects such as IT system implementation, new business onboarding, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of accounting experts, ensuring operational excellence in the newly established department.
  • Oversee and coordinate the monthly closing process, providing guidance and expertise to finance colleagues around the world.
  • Ensure quality assurance on financial figures reported to management and shareholders.
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as key users in strategic projects, including IT system implementation, new business onboarding, and process optimization
  • Coordinate complex accounting calculations related to Bad Debts, Provisions, accruals, and Fixed Assets
  • Administer accounting systems, including access rights and GRP setup and configuration.
  • Develop and mentor staff within the department to foster a high-performance culture.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise across functions and cultures.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
  • Solutions-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize and influence others
  • Proven finance acumen with knowledge of Accounting& Tax, SAP, and Solvency II Regulation.
  • Proven track record in leadership and management within a finance or accounting environment.
