Head of Commercial (Apparel)
āļāļĩāđāļāļīāđāļāļāļĩ āļāļđāđāļāļāļĢāđāđāļāđāļāđāļāļāļĢāđ āļāļģāļāļąāļ (āļĄāļŦāļēāļāļ)Responsibilities:
1. Define and drive the overall commercial strategy for the Apparel category, ensuring alignment with company goals in sales growth, profitability, and market positioning.
2. Identify growth opportunities, including white space and emerging trends, to expand the product assortment and customer base.
3. Oversee sourcing strategy and vendor negotiations to ensure best cost, product innovation, and long-term strategic partnerships.
4. Set and monitor inventory KPIs to optimize working capital and supply chain efficiency.
5. Build and lead a high-performing buying and merchandising team. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
6. Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to develop customer-driven campaigns and pricing strategies that enhance brand equity and drive traffic.
7. Manage full P&L responsibility for the Apparel division, ensuring achievement of financial targets and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelorâs degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
2. 15+ years of experience in retail/commercial management, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles
3. Strong expertise in Apparel category (e.g., Men&Ledies, Children, Essentials, footwear, accessories)
4. Proven track record in P&L ownership, strategic sourcing, and merchandising
5. Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
6. Experience in cross-functional collaboration and leading large teams
7. Results-driven with strong business acumen and market insight
8. Fluent in English with strong communication and writing skills.
