Job PurposeLead and manage the Digital & Robotic Service team to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of Automation, IoT, Robotics, and System Integration (SI) technologies across CPF manufacturing operations.

The role is responsible for maintenance strategy, troubleshooting, technology development, system integration, spare-parts management, service cost optimization, and collaboration with business units and technology partners to improve operational efficiency, reduce dependency on labor, and drive sustainable digital and automation transformation throughout the equipment and system life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs for Automation, IoT, Robotic, and System Integration systems.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, MTBF, MTTR, and downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead troubleshooting, failure analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for automation, robotic, control, and digital systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance, inspection, repair, and corrective actions with CPF business units and relevant engineering teams.
  • Manage critical spare parts for Automation, IoT, Robotics, and control systems, including spare-parts planning, procurement, and inventory optimization.
  • Develop annual maintenance cost and spare-parts budgets and monitor expenditure against approved plans.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance costs while maintaining system reliability, safety, and service quality.
  • Lead the development, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new Automation, IoT, Robotics, and System Integration solutions.
  • Support the development of prototypes and pilot projects to evaluate new technologies and their potential applications within CPF manufacturing operations.
  • Drive integration between PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, IoT platforms, robots, sensors, and other industrial systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external System Integrators (SIs), technology providers, and suppliers to ensure successful implementation and long-term serviceability.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with Automation, IoT, Robotics, and SI suppliers to support technology development, maintenance, and spare-parts availability.
  • Evaluate new technologies and identify opportunities to improve productivity, equipment availability, process efficiency, and workforce utilization.
  • Lead knowledge sharing, training, and technical development programs for CPF personnel in Automation, IoT, Robotics, and digital manufacturing technologies.
  • Establish and standardize maintenance practices, technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices across relevant sites.
  • Collect maintenance feedback and lessons learned and translate them into improvements for equipment design, automation systems, and robotic solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including CPF business units, CPALL, True, educational institutions, government agencies, technology partners, and suppliers.
  • Ensure service activities comply with relevant engineering, operational, safety, and company standards.
  • Lead the team to achieve service performance and customer satisfaction targets.

QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
  • Mechatronics Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Automation & Control Engineering

  • Robotics Engineering
  • Digital Engineering
  • or other related engineering fields.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Automation, Robotics, IoT, Digital Manufacturing, System Integration, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and/or project implementation of Automation, IoT, Robotics, or industrial digital systems.
  • Proven experience in technical team leadership and people development.
  • Experience working with manufacturing plants, industrial automation, or production systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing System Integrators, technology vendors, and external suppliers.
  • Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support of industrial automation and robotic systems.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Automation, Robotics, IoT, and System Integration (SI).
  • Strong understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and integration with automation and manufacturing systems.
  • Understanding of machine connectivity and industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, or Profinet is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of industrial robots, robotic cells, sensors, actuators, vision systems, and automated material handling systems.
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Understanding of IT/OT integration and Smart Factory technologies.
  • Knowledge of industrial data monitoring, data collection, and digital manufacturing platforms will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of OT cybersecurity and industrial network architecture will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotic, and automation systems.
  • Ability to understand and work with PLC programming and control logic.
  • Experience with major PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley will be an advantage.
  • Ability to coordinate system integration, commissioning, FAT/SAT, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze equipment/system performance using data such as uptime, downtime, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, project proposals, and management presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional engineering license or relevant professional certification will be an advantage.
  • Certifications or training in Robotics, Automation, PLC, SCADA, IoT, MES, Smart Factory, or Industrial Digitalization will be an advantage.
  • Experience in large-scale manufacturing, food processing, packaging, logistics, or automated production environments is preferred.
  • Good command of English for technical communication, documentation, supplier coordination, and working with international technology partners.
  • Willingness to travel to CPF facilities and project sites both domestically and internationally.
