• BASIC QUALIFICATIONS.
• Control systems experience including building unified automated control systems, working with hardware, software, or networking products from multiple vendors.
• Programming experience including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA), Codesys, Python, or other scripted programming languages.
• Engineering documentation experience including electrical diagrams, control diagrams, control networks schematics, control panel Bill of Materials (BOM), or control panel schematics.
• Project management experience including scoping, scheduling, cost management, vendor/sub-contractor management.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS.
• Critical environments experience: data centers (preferred) or other critical environments (defense, pharmaceutical, hospitals, research laboratories, oil and gas).
• Electrical or mechanical (HVAC) controls systems experience.
• Controls construction or service experience, in one or more of: Controls system architecture design / Controls system installation / Controls quotation and procurement.

• Experience with operational metrics reporting (e.g., availability, reliability, time to market, productivity, safety, security, quality, cost management, performance, energy-use, water-use and predictability).
• Master's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Organizational Design, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in the construction of hyperscale data centers.
• Experience working in cross-discipline teams: structural, civil, IT/Telecom, security, mechanical, architectural.
• Knowledge of data center structural, electrical, mechanical, and controls equipment.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

As a Program Manager at Google, you ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. • As a Program Manager, you will work directly with our portfolio of project management consultants, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades organizations, key integrators and manufacturers, quality and commissioning agents to ensure the successful implementation of the construction quality program, and reduce costs of poor quality in our construction projects.
• The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
• Source quality and commissioning agents and onboard project stakeholders. Engage in pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors or contractors.
• Set/communicate quality standards/expectations.
• Monitor and oversee the implementation of all construction quality and commissioning processes by our project management consultants, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades, quality, and commissioning agents.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the Construction Quality Program. Work and collaborate on regional or global initiatives to improve the Construction Quality Program.
• Report the quality and commissioning status for the full life cycle of the construction project. Identify risks to a project and developing mitigation strategies with the project team.
