Assistant Manager, PR and Marketing

The Walt Disney Studios has been the foundation on which The Walt Disney Company was built. The Walt Disney Studios encompasses a collection of respected film studios, including Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures. It aims to bring quality movies and entertainment to consumers throughout the world
This is a key role is to manage The Walt's Disney Company Public Relation, credibility and its identity to draw in millions of fans in Thailand. The right candidate will share our passion and commitment for delighting our consumers.
This role will work closely with PR lead in publicity/media strategies for Disney's streaming services in Southeast Asia (SEA), while also providing localized PR campaigns. The ideal candidate has strong experience in developing and executing communications initiatives, pitching stories to consumer and trade media channels. The candidate works with various content and publicity teams, executives and cross-functional global teams. He/she is a wordsmith, with the ability to craft publicity stories, including press releases, talking points, public speeches and other communication materials, in an impactful, clear and thoughtful way.
He/She is also responsible for initiating collaboration with local partners to create innovative and impactful programs which focused on conversion and engagement. Critical to success will be audience comprehension of the platform's key benefits and unique selling points


Responsibilities :

PR
  • Responsible for managing and executing Consumer PR, Corporate and tech community engagement
  • Create PR briefs and publicity strategy to support marketing campaigns across multiple languages & content genres
  • Manage the relationship, deliverables and performance of PR agency partner and any other PR stakeholders
  • Deal with enquiries from the public (and CRM), the press, and related organisations
  • Analyse media coverage and evaluate key campaigns' result and ensure learnings are shared with the team.
  • Have a finger on the pulse of the media industry and landscape and be able to identify strategic PR opportunities. Commissioning or undertake relevant market research and staying updated on new promotional opportunities
  • Organise and executing promotional events such as press conferences, interaction days, screenings and junkets for both global, reginal and local content
  • Responsible for increasing engagement, and elevating Disney+ to employer of choice status, with tech community
  • Support in maintaining and manage effective campaign budgets.
Marketing:
  • Owing the relationship with the partners both global and local. Identify and develop marketing program and strategy. Measure and optimize our partnerships for conversion, engagement programs
  • Provide market & competitive trends/intelligence to facilitate in delivering against business objectives
Basic Qualifications :
  • Minimum 5- 8 years comprehensive and demonstrable experience in Marketing or PR in leading consumer brands, or similar multinational company
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong relationships with media.
  • Experience in consumer or digital technology industries a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of digital media, current local trends in media consumption, marketing opportunities
  • Experience in trade marketing is a plus
  • Experience in crafting meaningful and memorable press stories for leading brands and content
  • Comfortable and strategic in the social media space and savvy about utilizing social platforms to grow reach.
  • A self-starter capable of working independently but also as part of a team
  • A strong communicator with positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done
  • Passion for the digital media and entertainment space
  • Fluent written and oral English and Thai
