Position Overview:

NTT DATA Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect specializing in Application Modernization to join our team in Thailand. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about transforming legacy systems into cloud-native applications using modern technologies and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Analysis

• Evaluate existing monolithic applications for cloud readiness.
• Analyze legacy systems for re-platforming, refactoring, and iterative decomposition.
• Assess application flexibility for modernization strategies.

Application Modernization Strategy

• Design and implement strategies for:

  • Re-hosting (containers)
  • Re-platforming/refactoring
  • Decomposition and iterative strangulation
• Deliver cloud-enabled, scalable, resilient, and hyper-scale application solutions.

Technical Implementation

• Deploy applications on public/private cloud platforms (e.g., AWS EC2).
• Build modern web UI layers using AngularJS or ReactJS.
• Design API gateway layers using AWS API Gateway or Azure API Management.
• Develop batch processing layers using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.

Cloud-Native Development

• Lead transformation of legacy apps into microservices architecture.
• Ensure adherence to microservices design principles and best practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
• Drive cross-functional alignment for successful project delivery.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with trends in cloud and modernization technologies.
• Lead experimentation from POC to production-ready services.
• Ensure reliable application releases within 6–9 month cycles.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solutions architecture with a focus on application modernization.
• Strong proficiency in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
