The Opportunity
Agoda is an innovative Online Travel Agency that is constantly expanding its reach through strategic innovations and data driven experimentations. Finance as a key stakeholder plays a critical role in enabling scale and efficiency to support these expansions.
We are looking for a talented, results-oriented Senior BI developer to join our growing Financial Innovations and Systems team. You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in putting in place data infrastructure, tools and technology to enable Finance department to achieve scalable growth.You will be managing data warehouses, building ETL processes, developing other BI tools to optimize the
business while encouraging a data driven work culture within the department.
In This Role, You'll Get To
Develop and implement new ETL processes to extract data from various systems and load into
Finance Database
Combine disparate data sources into a data warehouse optimized for accessible, usable
reporting and self-service data analytics
Collaborate with stakeholders within and outside of Finance teams to gather business
requirements, design and implement solutions to optimize on their current processes
Understand how Finance data is gathered and used throughout the company
Perform sampling of data to understand the quality of the data, and devise processes to ensure
data integrity such as alerting tools. Champion data quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve data, system and performance issues.
Empower end users to be self-reliant by facilitating knowledge sharing and skill development
What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree in IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or other relevant degrees.
5+ years of experience with BI & analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Metabase or similar technologies)
5+ years of database design or integration experience with SQL Server databases
Professional experience developing complex ETL processes, designing/developing data
warehouse, database models and developing complex queries using SQL
Fluency in English required
Strong sense of ownership and growth mindset, ability to be self-directed
Ability to understand business questions/requests and be able to suggest proper BI
solutions which is measurable and scalable
Ability to estimate tasks accuracy and meet agreed upon deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence peers and build strong relationships
within Finance and cross-functionally.
It's Great If You Have
Knowledge in finance and accounting concepts
Familiarity with scrum/agile methodology
Proven ability to work and communicate with senior management.
