Job Description

• Oversee day-to-day database operations ensuring performance is in line with SLA targets on Teradata

• Develop and apply procedures for efficient database installation, operation and administration on non-Production,Production and DR environment.

• Resolve significant database problems to ensure optimum database operation on Teradata

• Maintain and report database capacity response models and capacity plans on Teradata

• Coordinate with other IT Division units to provide database maintenance and support on Teradata

• Communicate planned outage schedule and major issue status to Help Desk

• Determine database fail over and disaster recovery procedures and co-ordinate with System Availability Team

• Recommend database technology, architecture and design needed in order to best support the database operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

• Experienced building out a services platform or integration development

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration and time management skills

• Good understanding of agile methodologies, practices and working environment experience
