HR Risk & Control - Vice President

The HR Risk Governance Officer is a professional who stays abreast of the regulatory changes across markets and Human Capital Risks. Recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular HR colleagues and other stake holders like Compliance, legal Finance. Provides advice and counsel related to Regulation Management and adherence to regulations & laws through policy, process and governance. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the Human Resource Risk Governance COE.
Responsibilities:

  • Serves as point of contact for Regulatory and Control related activities.
  • Provides guidance in evaluating risks & implementing appropriate controls, including ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified.
  • Conducts proactive review of Regulations, Regulatory Reporting, Regulatory Inventory impact assessment and actions plan.
  • Participates in evaluating; Strategic & Tactical Change; Policy and Process updates; Regulatory requirements etc.
  • Supports to Internal and External Control organizations (Internal/external audit, Regulatory, Compliance, IS, Finance etc.).
  • Provides Management / Oversight of Corrective Action Plan remediation process.
  • Ensures that the workflows and controls are in place in accordance to the HR Policy and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Reviews guidelines and regulations issued from time to time and ensure that gaps are remediated.
  • Works in partnership with stakeholders including HR Advisors, Product teams, Compliance and Legal
  • Oversees regulatory reporting submissions and ensure controls surrounding report submissions are robust for accurate and timely submissions. Enhance productivity through automations and workflow realignments.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of HR policies, guidelines and procedures, Employment Laws and related Regulations.
  • Good understanding of Regulatory guidelines pertaining to employment matters, policy and guidelines.
  • Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Excel with numerical skills and attention to details


Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
