Head of Grid Software Thailand (Smart Grid)
atSiemens Thailand Ltd.Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Grid Software Business Unit, the primary responsibility of the Head of Grid Software Thailand is to promote, maintain and upsell the entire portfolio of Grid Software to the Utility segment, primarily to the Electrical Utilities (PEA/MEA/EGAT). Â
The Grid Software Team is looking for a results-driven individual, passionate about Software and new Smart Grid technologies, able to coordinate technical as well as C level discussions with Utilities and EPCs. The ultimate goal of the candidate being to double the revenue at the accounts over the next 3 years.Â
The successful candidate will occupy a highly strategic and visible position within Siemens organization, leading the sales growth of the business unit within the country, with a broader geography over the next years.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy to promote the entire portfolio of GSW in Thailand: Control Centers SCADA/DMS/EMS, Smart Metering, Microgrids, Consultancy services, Grid Simulation
- Be the sole customer point of contact for any topic related to Smart Grid
- Develop C level relationship with Electrical Utilities, EPCs and influencersÂ
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the entire portfolio coverage
- Coordinate Technical Workshops with customers
- Identify and develop new business partners to expand market reachÂ
- Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed salesÂ
- Accurately forecast and predict business results and meet the operating plan
- commitments
- Be the Siemens ambassador to all Smart Grid events in the country
- Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness
- Provide regular feedback on product development needs and market trends to the product management team
Position Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / IT or related disciplines
- At least 8 years of experience in the Electrical utility industry with at least 4 years of sales
- and/or project management experience
- Experience in Smart Grid related business will be of added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Thai
- Possess good supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to lead and drive a team in the future
