Key Responsibilities
Manages Alteration workshop and performance
  • Proactively participates in the operation process of the Alteration workshop
  • Sets yearly goals and monthly targets for the workshop with HOB and / or Alteration Development Manager
  • Organizes the teamwork and allocates tasks based on Alterationists' strengths
  • Checks the quality and validates all in-house and outsourced alteration before return to clients
  • Ensures that the alteration schedule is properly monitored according to plan
  • In case of a delay, alerts the boutique team for them to communicate with the client timely
  • Participates in sourcing external workshops when required and liaise with them
  • Plans replacement and new order of tools and equipment and budget planning
  • Participates to all the boutique key meetings and trainings
  • Ensures liaison between Alteration Team and selling / boutique team
Manages the Alteration team and talents development
  • Identifies talent needs for the workshop and participates in recruitment
  • Accompanies each team member in their individual development path (with RLDP and / or Alteration development manager)
  • Identifies strengths and area of improvements and leverage them
  • Co-leads local Alteration trainings with Alteration Development Manager or Learning team
  • Animates Alteration meetings or workshops to communicate on alteration related topics
  • Explains work to be done to each team member, guide them in their work if needed and gives regular feedback
  • Sets individual yearly goals and monthly targets with HOB and follow-up with each team member on regular basis
  • Establishes a relationship of trust with her / his team
  • Inspires teamwork, plays a role model in Alteration and infuses the values of the house
Ensures or provides her (him)self the ultimate perfect fit experience based upon clients' request
  • Guides Fitting specialists to ensure the ultimate perfect fit experience in own boutique
  • Has strong client centric mindset
  • Has good presence on the floor
  • Strongly partners with FAs and Style Advisors / Style Expert all along the RTW journey
  • Accompanies the overall RTW journey from the preparation of the appointment (for known clients only) or from the fitting phase upon FA's request (for other clients) until the decision making and the pick-up of the altered piece:
  • Participates in the pre-appointment preparation with FA (to provide the possible alteration recommendations based on selected pieces and client morphology) for known clients only
  • Observes the fitting of the garment on client and listens to FA and client's comments
  • Makes a quick diagnostic to improve fitting considering clients' body morphology and preferences as well as garments specifics while protecting the style of Chanel and the original silhouette
  • Provides an ultimate alteration service according to the Chanel guidelines by artfully positioning the pins to show the client at her most alluring and perfecting the silhouette of the client and in the respect of the Clients' Service Values
  • Builds confidence with clients and helps to anticipate the final fit through advises, explanations and reassurance
  • Records technical details on alteration form or system
  • Estimates lead time and communicates to DHOB, FA or directly to client
  • Is present during the pick-up or final fitting and ensures the fit is right on the client
Ensures efficiency and communication between the boutiques' workshops and the centralized workshop
  • Understands the different operations and features of each workshop
  • Understands clients' expectations regarding alteration and work to meet or exceed them
  • Ensures timely communications and liaison between Alteration Team (both boutique and centralized workshop) and selling / boutique team
  • Manages the workflow between the different boutiques and the centralized workshop to achieve efficiency
  • Supervises other boutiques' workshops and teams in the absence of other Boutiques' Alteration Lead
Supports complex Alteration on need basis
