• Providing counsel and support primarily to the Corporate and Institutional Banking business, and their associated global functions including corporate finance, trade and payment products, global markets products and services including foreign exchange forward, option, swap transactions, and documents governing the trading of those products (e.g. ISDA, GMRA), and securities services (e.g. custody, escrow, fund supervisory, fund administration). Providing supplemental counsel and support to the International Wealth and Private Banking business, and its various initiatives.
• Providing expert legal advice in relation to Corporate and Institutional Banking matters including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and related transaction documents.
• Demonstrating a sound understanding of stakeholders, business partners and clients' strategic priorities. Adopting a client centric mindset when applying expertise to deliver high quality services and commercial advice which meet relevant business standard.
• Managing stakeholders' expectations and demonstrating time management to contribute to a team culture of productive service and process improvement. Understading key commercial drivers and introducing better ways of working to enhance stakeholder service delivery.

• Thai-law qualified lawyer holding a bachelor and/or master of laws degree from a reputable university with at least 7 years of experience in corporate banking in financial sectors or international law firm.
• Extensive legal knowledge in the areas of corporate and institutional banking including financing and trade finance, transaction bankingderivatives and securities services,.
• Experience and legal knowledge in the areas of cash management, and services and procurement contracts is an advantage.
• Strong lateral thinking and problem-solving skills and a growth mindset and commitment to self-development.
• Experienced and confident practitioner, with excellent negotiation and drafting skills and having demonstrated the ability to take initiative and apply good commercial and legal judgment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of developments (including legal and regulatory changes and industrial trends/practices) in financial services industry.
• Ability to handle a diverse range of issues, deal with new or unexpected situations and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills in English and Thai languages (both written and verbal) and strong inter-personal skills.

• Responsible for the delivery of BCO tasks in line with agreed OKRs, SLAs and KPIs.
• Support the end-to-end Credit & Lending servicing journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for both customers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist the Relationship Manager with credit analysis and the timely submission of credit proposals for facilities for both existing and prospective clients.
• Liaise with relevant teams for the preparation of facility letter and any other internal security documents. Ensure completeness of security documentation prepared by external legal counsel.
• Proactively manage the credit quality of the supported portfolio by i) conducting periodic credit reviews; ii) tracking and reporting of compliance with covenants and conditions of approval; and iii) promptly escalating deviations to the Risk team for resolution.

• Ensure the consistent application of HSBC policies and adherence to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risks.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience in ensuring compliance (self and others) with organisational and regulatory requirements.
• Support the BCO Manager and Team Lead on ad-hoc requirements and other strategic initiatives to streamline and simplify end-to end credit & lending process.
• Participate in deal discussions and meetings with clients as required.
• Protect the Bank by acting as First Line of Defence and adhering to all controls.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit recomentations, along with addressing any issues raised by external regulators.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant work experience in corporate banking as a credit analyst or relationship manager.
• Good understanding of various financing instruments and banking products in corporate banking.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience in ensuring compliance (self and others) with organisational and regulatory requirements.
