Role: Continuous Improvement and Projects Manager

Role purpose

• Act as a leading core team member of the site leadership team with a lead proficiency in the Syngenta Operational Excellence methodology.
• Build Operational Excellence capability in Syngenta FF&P Thailand by leading initiatives that bring the methodology into high priority company projects and target areas.
• Coach FF&P Thailand site leaders and teams to develop their knowledge and capability to use CI in their own areas.
• Lead and accountable for site major investment from feasibility stage throughout project go live stage.
• Drive an active learning community with the aim of developing team capabilities and improving the Operational Excellence methodology through practitioner experience.
• Leading change at site under CI methodology and ensure the change are success throughout change cycle.

Accountabilities

• This accountability list is on-going and unlikely to change significantly from year to year. Use action verbs (e.g., ensure, provide), provide a broad indication of the performance levels required (e.g. effectively, accurately), ensure the accountability relates clearly to this role; indicate freedom to act and interdependencies (e.g. independently, under supervision).
• Act as a lead practitioner in CI methodology capable of delivering the methodology and developing others in its use.
• On an ongoing basis lead priority CI initiative working with different project teams and department to shape, project manage and implement Operation Excellence interventions ensuring delivery on time, to target and within budget.
• Act as a CI coach and supervise to all site colleagues to embedding CI culture in routine operation.
• Provide one to one coaching and conscience for coaches in Operational Excellence and develop their skills in both the Operational Excellence methodology and coaching others in the organisation to use it, ensuring a relevant and balanced representation of both technical and change management mindset.
• Collaborate and support across CP FF&P site in APAC on CI initiatives to deliver according to regional CI initiatives.
• Strong support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working.
• Identified trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system
• Provide assist in the development and implementation of a 'best-in-class' continuous improvement strategy
• Accountable for change initiatives from evolution/ efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
• Projects cross function collaboration in Syngenta with Country, Regional and Global in order to deliver project proposal from feasibility stage to get final approval according to DOA matrix.
• Governance site major projects investment to ensure all projects are deliver as business objectives i.e. timeline, company policy, budget, compliance, etc.
• Accountable site projects portfolio management together with site team and well collaborate project portfolio with APAC Siting regional FF&P.
• Facilitate site strategic workshop to ensure site roadmap aligned with Regional and Global roadmap in order to build robust and practical site roadmap.
• Accountable to justify all site investment projects for all project categories i.e. efficiency improvement, expansion, sustainability, etc.,
• Effectively monitoring site performance dashboard to ensure all KPI are well collaborate across site leadership team to deliver as per plan and ensure report are submitted on time.

Knowledge, Experience & Capabilities

Critical knowledge:

• University graduate, with major in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineer, Automation engineer
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Lean or Six sigma or World Class manufacturing experience and able to adopt into shop floor.
• Understand manufacturing/production environment

Critical Skills & Experience:

• 5 - 10 years in a manufacturing environment at management level.
• Chemical industry background
• Strong communication, collaborative and networking skills
• Proven manufacturing improvement achievement record and capability of managing multiple assignments.
• Large scale people management experiences.
