• Developing and implementing Institute-wide human resources strategies aligned with AIT's strategic priorities.
• Serving as the principal adviser to senior leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, and change management.
• Leading talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning initiatives.
• Overseeing compensation, benefits, employment policies, and HR governance frameworks.
• Promoting an inclusive, high-performing organizational culture that supports innovation, collaboration, and employee wellbeing.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable employment legislation, Institute policies, and international best practices.
• Leading HR digital transformation, process improvement, and service excellence initiatives.
• Managing employee and labour relations while fostering constructive dialogue across a multicultural workforce.
• Providing leadership to the Office of Human Resources Services and driving continuous improvement in HR service delivery.
• Supporting institutional transformation through effective change management and organizational development initiatives.
• Benchmarking AIT's human resource policies, systems, and practices against leading national and international practices in higher education and other relevant sectors, and provide evidence-based advice and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Liaising, as required and within the scope of the role, with relevant Thai government agencies, labour authorities, and other competent regulatory bodies on employment, labour, and workforce-related matters, ensuring appropriate institutional coordination and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and AIT policies.
• Providing strategic leadership and oversight of the Institute's employee relations framework, including grievance management, workplace conduct, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and related policy implementation, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, procedural integrity, and compliance with Institute policies and applicable laws.
• Advising the President and senior management on complex and sensitive employee relations matters, overseeing the administration of grievance and disciplinary processes and related committees, and recommending policy, procedural, and organizational improvements that promote a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
• At least ten years of progressively responsible human resources leadership experience, including senior management responsibilities within a university, research institution, international organization, or similarly complex organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic human resource management, organizational development, talent management, and employment relations.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in Thai labour law and employment practices, complemented by significant leadership experience within international universities, research institutions, international organizations, or similarly multicultural environments.
• Experience leading organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD, or equivalent) is desirable.
