Wood is recruiting for a Rotating Equipment Coordinator (Commissioning LOTO) to join the team for an immediate start, supporting commissioning and start-up activities on a major EPCM refinery project for a key client project in Si Racha, Chonburi, Thailand. This role is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the opportunity to continue as an ongoing, longer-term assignment.

What makes you remarkable?
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, your immediate focus will be supporting commissioning and start-up activities on a major EPCM refinery project for a key client. You will play a critical role in coordinating the safe isolation, lock out/tag out (LOTO), commissioning readiness and start-up activities associated with rotating equipment systems across the facility.
You will thrive on the challenge of balancing technical expertise, planning, safety leadership and stakeholder engagement in this key site-based role. Your ability to work collaboratively with construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, operations and HSE personnel will be essential in ensuring safe and successful project delivery.
In addition, you will:
- Coordinate commissioning, start-up and LOTO activities for rotating equipment systems including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers and associated auxiliary equipment
- Implement and coordinate all Mechanical LOTO procedures in accordance with project and client requirements
- Interpret work scopes, drawings, P&IDs, vendor documentation and commissioning procedures to identify and verify isolation points and equipment readiness requirements
- Verify isolation points and issue, modify and close LOTO permits and certificates, ensuring compliance with approved procedures
- Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure all LOTO activities and commissioning works are executed safely and in accordance with project requirements
- Coordinate equipment preservation, mechanical completion verification, pre-start checks, functional testing and commissioning readiness reviews
- Liaise closely with construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, operations, vendor representatives and HSE teams to support safe work execution and system handovers
- Support commissioning performance testing, troubleshooting, incident investigations and safe restoration of systems following completion of work activities

- Expected:
- You must hold (or be eligible to obtain) legal working rights in Thailand. If you already have Thai work rights or have a visa or work permit application in progress, we encourage you to apply.
- Suitably qualified with a Diploma, Trade Qualification or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution, ideally with 7+ years of commissioning experience if degree qualified, or 10+ years of relevant practical experience if trade qualified, supporting major EPCM projects within the Refinery, Petrochemical or Oil & Gas Processing sectors.
- In addition, you will:
- Have strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers and associated mechanical systems
- Be fully conversant with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), permit-to-work systems, mechanical isolations and commissioning safety requirements
- Have proven experience interpreting discipline documentation including P&IDs, vendor manuals, commissioning procedures and engineering drawings
- Have a good standard of general computer literacy with knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and project reporting systems
- Have proven experience monitoring work progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting performance against project plans
- Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) complemented by your ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural project team
- Desirable:
- What will set you apart will be your previous experience coordinating commissioning and start-up activities for rotating equipment packages on major refinery, petrochemical or oil and gas projects. Experience supporting compressors, turbines and critical rotating equipment during pre-commissioning, commissioning and operational readiness phases will be highly regarded. Previous EPCM project experience in Thailand is advantageous but not essential.
