Job Purpose

Software Developer is responsible for software design and implementation of multiple digital solutions that support in-house digital transformation initiatives. The jobholder needs to provide expertise in digital technologies including software development, data management, software security, and software development and application support activities. The jobholder is also required to perform vendor management and post go-live activities.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with the data architects and data management team to provide technical expertise and guidance in digital technologies, standards, and best practices regarding software development, data management, software security, and software deployment
• Drive, manage, and be responsible for the software design, maintenance of software systems, and implementation of multiple digital solutions
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support in-house digital transformation software development initiatives
• Perform vendor management in technical requirement capacity, and provide post go-live facilitation
• Develop API connection for all the digital transformation initiatives to ensure availability of all the business data required in the cloud data lakes
• Support others software development for digital transformation initiatives

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

• • Bachelor’s or Master Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or related technical discipline
  • 5 – 15 years of experienced in multiple programming languages, preferably GoLang and Angular, but Node, Java, React, Python are acceptable
  • Experienced in:

  • • Front-end and/or Back-end development
    • Working with SQL and NOSQL databases e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, MongoDB
    • Development and deployment in cloud, and understanding of good cloud architecture (Google cloud platform is preferred)
    • Design, development, and deployment of API connection (knowledge of Google Apigee is preferred)
    • Development and commercializing data analytics or machine learning solutions
    • Agile development methodology (Scrum, Kanban)

  Good knowledge in multiple software development and best practice deployment in: Application development tools, Automated testing tools, DevOps/ Agile tracking tools, Code management and version control, Continuous integration/ Continuous deployment, Clean code/ Secure code practice, Test driven development, Data structure
