Job Purpose


Engineer, Reservoir Engineering Support plays a critical role in safeguarding and unlocking the full production potential of PTTEP’s Thai onshore assets. The position delivers high‑quality reservoir engineering insights to drive field development decisions, proactive reservoir management, and well operations excellence. The role is essential to optimizing production, safeguarding reserves integrity, and implementing value‑adding solutions that help mitigate natural decline and support long‑term production sustainability in mature fields.


Key Accountabilities

  • Provide reservoir engineering input to field development plans, ensuring alignment with Asset Planning and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage, update and maintain reserves and reservoir‑related datasets with high accuracy, including reserves estimation, periodic reserves reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual), and resources maturation.
  • Plan and monitor reservoir management activities, including production diagnostics, performance evaluation, and subsurface/well issue identification for mature oil and gas fields.
  • Propose, coordinate, and monitor well and drilling operations and data acquisition programs (e.g., formation pressure test program, well intervention, workover, surveillance) to optimize production, extend well life, and enhance subsurface understanding.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee reservoir engineering activities such as well testing, well performance evaluation, decline analysis, and development well proposals to support production enhancement.
  • Apply knowledge of production optimization concepts to improve well performance, maximize recovery and support continuous improvements in field performance.


Professional Knowledge & Experiences

  • Bachelor's or higher in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related subsurface functions.
  • Experience in work process optimization and digitalization, including improving subsurface workflows, integrating data-driven tools, and enhancing efficiency in reservoir engineering processes
  • Good in both written and spoken English.
  • Good project management capability, including planning, prioritization, and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Good computer literacy with broad understanding of engineering and analytical software/tools.
