About the Role

This internship is designed for university students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) within large-scale construction projects

As part of the DayOne Construction Team, you will support EHS initiatives, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment while learning industry best practices in data centre development

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing and monitoring EHS policies, procedures, and standards on construction sites

Support daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments

Help ensure compliance with local regulations and company EHS requirements

Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and training sessions

Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis

Maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and records

Monitor contractor safety performance and adherence to safety protocols

Support environmental management initiatives, including waste management and sustainability practices

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture

Learning Outcomes

Eligibility Requirements

Currently enrolled in a university program (Diploma or Degree) in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field

Strong interest in construction safety and EHS practices

Basic understanding of safety regulations and risk management principles is an advantage

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with strong observational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Willingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic construction environment

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Relevant coursework or prior internship related to EHS or construction safety

Knowledge of ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 standards
