As a buyer you will work closely with the suppliers and build a strong business strategy that will aid in the further success of Pomelo as well as being a visionary leader to your team. You will be fully responsible for leading the buying across the region and creating the product strategy. You will be involved in the analysis of retail market competitors to develop strategic collections.

  • To work closely with the suppliers to build a strong relationship with them alongside with your junior buyers ensures that the buy is smooth from the product selection until the production is completed. .
  • To work closely with the HQ cross team to align on brand strategy, product direction and quality standard.
  • To negotiate the lead time, price negotiation and the development of the products until the production is completed.
  • To formulate and manage a new product launch plan with an aim to achieve business strategies.
  • Researching market and customer trends, Identifying any new products for the department to trial
  • Attending fit sessions and approving or rejecting fits
  • Cross-functional collaboration with other departments like Logistics, merchandising, studio, branding and Onsite Management will be part of your daily work, ensuring that we act in line with the whole organization. You will work cross-functionally to drive sales and maximize profit.


Who are we looking for?

  • Relevant Fashion Buying Experience at a similar level. You have been part of a fast-paced retailing business, ideally within an E-commerce retailer and vertical integrated fashion experience for at least 3 years.
  • Excellent English skills both written and verbal.
  • Stakeholder Management is part of your role. You are a strong strategic thinker and are able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively through your communication style and emotional intelligence. You understand the challenges of the fashion business and the constant change and are exhilarated by this.
  • Expertise with all tools and processes is relevant for buying positions. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality. You know your figures at any time, base your decisions on fact and develop a figure based approach in your team
