About the role:

To project manage the implementation of the CDC. You will partner with Makro business stakeholders and outside contractors to oversee each phase of the implementation to the required standards and cost.

Responsibilities:
• Draft and administer project plans and coordinate their execution upon approval by sponsor(s) and steering committee(s)
• Implement the project plan within approved budget, provide work direction to the project team, track deadlines, costs and resource allocation to mitigate risks of failure.
• Apply appropriate project management practices and methodologies in line with six-sigma (DMAIC). Ensure use of project management tools for definition, follow up and reporting of the project.
• Engage with all stakeholders (both internal and external) to understand broad CDC project requirements, assist in developing appropriate solutions.
• Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and management experience to analyze and resolve complex project related problems as well as suggesting and or implementing solutions.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication regarding project status, requirements and benefits.
• Liaise with the operations management team to determine improvement opportunities should they arise.

Candidate requirements:

• Experience within a similar function at senior levels for a minimum of 7 years.
• Minimum education level BA
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access programs
• Proven leadership skills
• Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem solution skills
• Attention to detail with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) and project controlling tools.
• Proven proficiency in stakeholder management and communication
• A working knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX • A working knowledge of SHE rules and guidelines
