Responsibilities

Define requirements and technical specifications of new industrial equipment / automation solution Design the electrical system of a new equipment / automation solution Design and validate the safety system of a new equipment based on international machinery safety standards (CE, UL). Do performance level calculations Choose the electrical components of a new equipment based on the required functionality, standards and cost evaluation Test and debug the electrical system and the safety functions of a new equipment / automation solution Validate, qualify, install new equipment and automation solutions Define and develop electrical design standards Write technical documentation (electrical diagram, wiring diagram, BOM, power consumption, spare part list, preventive maintenance etc) Coordinate and supervise external suppliers in electrical design activites relative to outsourced machines Technical support / Troubleshooting Technical Skills and Professional Knowledge Good knowledge of industrial automation. 4-6 years experience in industrial equipment design and development Basic knowledge of mechanical drawing Excellent knowledge of electric and electronic systems Excellent knowledge of electric drawing (Eplan, Solidworks) Excellent knowledge of international machinery safety standard requirements and their application (CE, UL) Good knowledge of industrial robots and their applications PLC programming skills (Omron) are considered a plus Excellent knowledge of communication protocols for industrial automation Excellent analytical skills and problem solving attitude Continous improvement attitude Team player Management and organizational skills ]]>
