Support Consultancy for Asia Region, Consultant (Junior level)
atUNDP Bangkok Regional HubThe objective of this consultancy is to provide research and limited administrative support to the RTA - Local Development Finance Practice Area. Specifically, the consultant will support UNCDF LDFP work in Asia and Pacific.
- Technical and Research Assistance for the LoOKING Project (PNG)
- To support the RTA and LoOKING project team consolidate the mission reports and surveys conducted by the IC missions covering;
- Values Survey;
- Sub National PEFA;
- Territorial Economic Scans and SWOT Analysis;
- To undertake research for PNG using public domain database searches and internet searches of reports requested by the RTA.
- Technical and Research Assistance for LoTUS - ASEAN
- To support the RTA and LoTUS project team consolidate the mission reports and surveys conducted by the IC missions covering;
- Risk Analysis;
- Legal Scans (Cambodia and Lao);
- To undertake requested research for LoTUS using public domain database searches and internet searches of reports requested by the RTA to support the preparation and development of project financing proposals, submission of works to ASEAN secretariat, and any relevant publication work to be submitted to UNCDF HQ.
- The consultant will liaise with the LoTUS communications expert to make ready the above research papers for publication.
- Administrative Support and Calendar Management
- Provides administrative and calendar support to the RTA Local Development Finance Practice Area during the peak workload time to provide quality and timely PA services including:
- Travel Arrangement Support
- Makes travel flight request and where appropriate hotel reservations;
- Enter Travel Request into the Online UNCDF Travel Request;
- Prepare Travel Authorization Request, and follow up for the approval from the respective officer.
- General logistics support
- Perform PA functions to the RTA;
- General office support and maintenance of the client database.
- Consultant and contracts support as requested by the RTA
- Contact the consultants on issues relating to the contract and payment;
- Collecting and forwarding documents as requested by UNCDF HQ;
- Follow up on case including check consultant payment schedule, follow up document from consultant i.e. COP and ticket receipting.
- Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs / Global Cooperation or equivalent.
- Experience
- The minimum 2 years of work and research experience within the International organization and implementation;
- Track record of undertaking research support in ASEAN;
- Experienced in UN administration type of work;
- Previous UN work / internship an advantage.
- Fluent English is required.
