The Executive Business Assistant to Managing Director supports MD in business planning, cross-functional execution, corporate governance, and executive decision-making. In addition to providing executive support, the role proactively coordinates key business initiatives, monitors business performance, prepares executive-level analyses, and ensures alignment across functions to achieve company objectives.
The position requires strong business acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a broad understanding of the commercial vehicle business, including Sales, Aftermarket, Network Development, Finance, HR, and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Support
Support the MD in coordinating the implementation of business strategy and priorities.
Coordinate cross-functional alignment and follow-up on strategic projects and company priorities.
Monitor execution against business plans and escalate risks where appropriate.
Prepare executive summaries, business analyses, and decision-support information for MD.
Follow up on strategic decisions and ensure that agreed actions are communicated and implemented.
- Executive Governance
Coordinate Management Meetings (MMT), Business Reviews, and Regional/HQ meetings.
Prepare agendas, presentation materials, decision logs, meeting minutes and follow-up action items.
Track action items and ensure timely completion by responsible functions.
Ensure governance processes are consistently followed.
Escalate overdue actions, unresolved issues, and key risks to the MD where appropriate.
- Business Performance Monitoring
Consolidate monthly business performance reports across all functions.
Monitor KPIs and identify performance gaps, trends, and business risks.
Support preparation of management dashboards and executive reports.
Review information submitted by functions and seek clarification where data, assumptions, or conclusions are unclear.
- Cross-functional Coordination
Act as the central coordinator between MD and functional leaders.
Facilitate communication across Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, HR, Network Development, and other departments.
Facilitate discussions to support the resolution of cross-functional coordination issues.
- Project Management: Support the coordination and monitoring of company-wide strategic initiatives such as:
Organization transformation
Process improvement
Business planning
New business initiatives
HQ strategic projects
Internal governance projects
Monitor project timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Confidential Executive Support
Handle confidential business information with professionalism.
Support high-level executive meeting and engagements.
Ensure that confidential information is properly stored, protected, and shared only with authorized stakeholders.
Support special assignments requested by the MD.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Knowledge
Strong understanding of the commercial vehicle business, business planning, financial analysis, KPI management, project management, and business process improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, AI tools, and other business productivity tools. Experience with dashboards, business intelligence, project management, or data visualization tools is an advantage.
Skills
Strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Effective stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Good command of written and spoken English and Thai.
Main Competence Requirement:
Ability to manage multiple priorities and prepare clear executive presentations, reports, and decision-support materials.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field. An MBA is an advantage.
Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, integrity, and attention to detail.
Proactive and structured working style.
7 years of experience in business planning, strategy, commercial operations, consulting, or project management, with proven experience in coordinating cross-functional projects and working with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
Experience supporting senior executives and working with Regional Office or Headquarters in an international organization is preferred.
Experience in the automotive, commercial vehicle, manufacturing, or other B2B industries is highly desirable.
