Job Purpose
As a part of Corporate Legal team, the job holder performs various kinds of legal assignments to support management and business units in order to ensure compliance with related laws and regulations and to assure the Company's effective risk management, control and governance processes
Key Accountabilities
- Perform full range of legal services, provide advice and recommendations on legal and regulatory issues in order to achieve successful outcomes of transactions or projects as well as protect best interest of the Company, including (without limitation):
- Negotiate legal and contractual terms and provide legal input on various matters,
- Draft, review and revise agreements, contracts, other legal documents, as well as important correspondences, to ensure enforceability, and compliance with applicable domestic and international laws.
- Provide day‑to‑day legal advice/services for the Company’s domestic and international business operations to ensure smooth operations and compliance with relevant laws, regulations.
- Manage and oversee all litigation, arbitration, and other dispute‑resolution matters involving the Company.
- Coordinate with business units, external counsel, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective case strategies, timely submissions, and strong representation.
- Monitor case progress, assess legal risks, and develop mitigation and settlement strategies where appropriate.
- Liaise and coordinate with government authorities and regulatory agencies, including but not limited to the NACC and SAO
- Prepare and review official responses, statements, and supporting documents submitted to government bodies.
- Provide ad-hoc legal advice and guidance on legal matters to achieve optimum legal and commercial decisions
- Keep abreast of relevant laws and regulations (Thailand & overseas) affecting Company businesses
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in laws or higher
- Lawyer licence
- 5 to 8 years of experience in legal profession in a reputable law firm and/or multinational company
- Understanding of E&P laws and business or E&P procurement contracts will be an advantage
- Effectively conduct research, draft, review, revise and advise on legal documents
- Good negotiation and communication skill
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical skills
- Can-do attitude and ability to work independently with tight timelines
- Excellent written and spoken English (TOEIC score >= 750)
