Line of Service: Internal Firm Services
A career in Information Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. Our Information Technology Generalist - Practice Support team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for PwC to drive strategic business growth.


Role and responsibilities

  • Provide hardware and software IT services and support for users by phone, remotely or face to face

  • Provide IT consultations for users

  • Troubleshoot, analyse, diagnose and solve all IT-related issues

  • Monitor and manage networking infrastructure such as local area network (LAN), wireless network, backup systems, IP phone systems and internet

  • Open support tickets and raise Global application issues in our support ticketing system (SNOW)

  • Prepare and install IT hardware and accessories for users

  • Set up and manage IP phone system accounts

  • Participate in IT disaster recovery procedures and processes

  • Assist the IT Director in all matters as required

  • Participate in on-call rotation outside of office hours as required


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.

  • New graduates are welcome.

  • Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment

  • Time and project management skills, and an ability to manage and handle multiple tasks

  • Presentation skills

  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone and in writing
