General Manager / MD (chemical trading)

The Managing Director will lead the overall operations and strategic direction of the company, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and organizational excellence. This role oversees all business operations — from import to sales and distribution — while fostering innovation, operational efficiency, and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives in alignment with the company’s vision and shareholder expectations.
- Oversee all business functions, including production, import, sales & marketing, supply chain, and corporate administration.
- Drive business growth through market expansion and diversification within industrial sectors such as rubber, plastics (PVC), petrochemicals, paints, coatings, construction, cosmetics, palm oil, basic chemicals, and adhesives.
- Lead and inspire the management team to deliver high performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the company’s P&L, ensuring profitability, cost control, and financial discipline.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with laws, environmental regulations, and international standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Promote a culture of innovation, service excellence, and customer satisfaction, consistent with Company’s business philosophy.
- Develop and execute organizational development strategies, including talent development and succession planning.
- Provide strategic updates and regular performance reports to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in senior management (MD, GM, VP, or equivalent) within the chemical, manufacturing, or industrial distribution sectors.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, business growth, and operational excellence.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing full P&L responsibility.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of industrial chemical markets, supply chains, and customer needs.
- Fluent in both Thai and English.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
